Printing labels
Every piece can have a museum-style card with a QR code. Scanning the code on the wall opens the piece in the show with a Buy button, so the label is also the point of sale.
What is on a card
The artist's @username, the title, year · medium · dimensions, the series if any, the price (or Sold or NFS), the catalog number, and a QR code. All of it comes from the artwork catalog, so a piece that is not cataloged prints with just the caption and the code. Ask artists to catalog before the show.
Labels for a whole show
On the show page, or in the console, tap Print wall labels. Curiate builds a PDF on Letter paper with four cards per page and cut lines. Print it on any printer, cut, and mount.
Each code in this PDF opens the piece inside the show, at its show price, with the buy sheet ready. That is the code to put on the wall at a show.
A single card or label
Open the post and choose Print wall card. Pick a format:
- Wall card: one card on a Letter page, sent to your device's print dialog (AirPrint on iPhone, the browser's print on the web).
- Label image: a PNG sized for a label, for use with a label printer's own app.
- Label PDF: the same at exact size.
You are then asked for the roll width: 53, 80 or 110 mm. Codes from a single card open the post itself, not a show, so use the show PDF for anything hanging in a show.
Printing straight to a Bluetooth label printer from inside Curiate is being tested and is not switched on yet.
Reprinting
Cards do not change on their own: if a piece sells, the label on the wall still says the old price until you reprint it. Marking a piece sold in the app is what stops sales; the label is just paper.
