Curiate ("we", "our", or "us") operates the Curiate mobile app and website at curiate.com. This policy explains what information we collect, how we use it, and your rights regarding that information.

Information We Collect

When you create an account and use Curiate, we collect:

• Account information — your email address, username, and optional profile details (display name, bio, profile photo)
• Content you post — images, audio, video, and text you upload to the platform
• Communications — commission requests, collaboration inquiries, and messages sent through the app
• Payment information — if you sell work through Curiate, payment processing is handled by Stripe. We do not store full card numbers or bank account details. Stripe's privacy policy applies to payment data.
• Usage information — standard server logs (IP address, timestamp, pages viewed) used to operate and secure the service

How We Use Your Information

• To create and manage your account
• To display your profile and content to other users
• To process commission requests and facilitate sales of original works
• To send transactional emails (email verification, password reset, purchase notifications)
• To investigate abuse and maintain the security of the platform

We do not use your information for advertising, and we do not sell your data to third parties.

Content You Post

Content you post to Curiate (posts, profile photos, collection descriptions) is visible to other users according to your account settings. If your profile is public, your posts and collections are visible without an account.

We do not claim ownership of your content. You retain all rights to work you post.

Third-Party Services

We do not integrate analytics platforms, ad networks, or tracking SDKs.

Data Retention

We retain your account information and content for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, your personal information and content are removed from our systems within 30 days, except where retention is required by law (for example, records related to completed financial transactions).

Your Rights

You can:

• Update your profile information at any time in the app
• Delete individual posts from your profile
• Request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing us
• Request a copy of the data we hold about you

If you are in the European Economic Area or United Kingdom, you have additional rights under GDPR including the right to restrict processing and the right to lodge a complaint with your local supervisory authority.

Children

Curiate is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us with personal information, contact us and we will delete it.

Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy as the service evolves. We will notify registered users by email if we make material changes. The effective date at the top of this page reflects the most recent update.
