Notifications
Every event that needs your attention goes to the inbox in the app. On iPhone the same events arrive as push notifications and count on the app icon.
The inbox
Open it from the bell in the top bar, or the Notifications entry in the rail on a wide screen. It lists:
| Event | Who gets it |
|---|---|
| New follower | The person followed |
| Comment on your post | The post's author |
| Show invitation | The invited artist |
| Invitation accepted or declined | The curator |
| Staff role granted | The artist given the role |
| Piece submitted | The curator and co-curators |
| Piece approved or rejected | The artist |
| Sale | The artist, and the curator for a show sale |
| Sale conflict | The seller, when a piece was bought twice in the same moment and one payment has to be refunded |
Open a notification to jump to the post, show or profile it is about. Mark all read clears the count.
On iPhone
The first time you sign in on an iPhone, Curiate asks permission to send notifications. With permission granted:
- each inbox event also arrives as a push notification;
- the app icon shows the number of unread notifications;
- the badge updates when you read notifications on another device or on the web, so the count stays right without opening the app.
Turn notifications off or on at any time in iPhone Settings → Notifications → Curiate. Web browsers and Android do not receive push notifications; the inbox still has everything.
